eremy Brisset continued in 2017 where he left off last year, dominating the F4-S season

opener in Portimao to complete a very good day for the F1 Atlantic Team with a lights-

to-flag victory just moments after seeing team owner-driver Duarte Benavente take

third place in the UIM F1H2OGrand Prix of Portugal.

With the F4-S champions of the last two years stepping up into the top flight, three-time

championMike Szymura moving up in 2016 and Rashed Al Qemzi this year, the accolade

of new champion is up for grabs and Brissett looks to be the pace setter.

The 21-year-old topped the time sheets in practice and qualifying and was equally

strong in the race. He held off an early first lap challenge from Team Sweden’s F4-S

Danish debutant, Sebastian Haugaard, before racing off into the distance to take the chequered flag and win

comfortably by 12.56 seconds.
