hemid-termraces inHarbin and

Liuzhou in the People’s Republic

of China were outstanding

and produced two standout

performances

by

Team

Sweden’s Erik Stark and Team

Abu Dhabi’s Alex Carella.

Fromrelative obscurity as a title

contender after the opening

two rounds, Stark put himself

right back into contention

following a perfect weekend in

the first of the China double-

headers, backinguphis stunning

pole in BRM Qualifying on the

Saturday with a brilliant drive

in the UIM F1H2O Grand Prix of Harbin to take his maiden Grand Prix

victory and then followed up with the runners-up slot in Liuzhou.

But in the UIMF1H2OGrand Prix of Liuzhou it was all about the brilliance

and heroics of Carella who, after sealing a 14th career pole and his second

of the season, pushed himself to the limits of complete exhaustion to take

the Grand Prix victory and match his pole win tally, but more crucially

extend his lead in the title race.
