2014 UIM F1H2OWORLD CHAMPION PHILIPPE CHIAPPE

Frenchman Philippe Chiappe capped a brilliant season for Team CTIC

China to win his first F1H2OWorld title and complete a journey that

began 12 years and 92 races ago.

Of the three contenders going into the final two races it was Chiappe

and his teamwho held their nerve, absorbed the pressure and struck

the crucial blows when needed. He turned the tables on his Team

Qatar rivals to hit the front in the title race, winning in Abu Dhabi and

then produced the drive of a true Champion to win in Sharjah and lift

the covetedWorld title.

In a spectacular season of racing, Malta’s Aaron Chiantar and France’s

Dominique Martini held their nerve to complete an impressive

season treble, winning the V1World, European and Pole Position

Championships. The Chaudron duo picked up race wins in Ibiza and

Abu Dhabi, with two further podiums and a fourth helping them to win

the V1World Championship by ten points.

Victory’s most successful partnership marked their return to racing

together for the first time since 2011 winning their fourthWorld title

together and a 14th for the Dubai Team.

Arif Al Zaffain and Nadir Bn Hendi grabbed five wins out of six in Ibiza,

Italy and Abu Dhabi to win the title, adding to their trophy haul along the

way with an eighth European and tenth Pole Position Championship.
