Mattia Fracasso

Rok Florjancic completed the clean sweep

in Freestyle, topping the points’ sheets in

qualifying and both heats to take his 18th GP

title.

Runabout GP 2

world title for

Mattia Fracasso

Italy’s Mattia Fracasso produced a brilliant performance

in the final Moto to win the Runabout GP2 World

Championship in front of his home crowd.

The final Moto was billed as a winner-take-all decider

between Fracasso and the defending champion, Denmark’s

Marcus Jorgensen, tied on 45 points and a win apiece. But

a dramatic disqualification for a non-conforming Ski ruled

out the Dane and turned the points table upside down.

It made no difference to Fracasso who bolted away at the

start and was in a class of his own, stretching his lead lap-

by-lap and running out the winner by over 30 seconds.

Giorgio Viscione added to Italian celebrations after

following his countryman to the chequered flag to claim

third overall, with UAE rider Ali Al Lanjawi taking the

runners-up slot.
